The two players share the same bankroll since they started to play online poker and they never play at the same table. Their success story started at mid stakes No Limit Holdem tables at Party Poker when they competed who gets better in game. Competing against each other helped them to progress through the levels vary fast, in few month upgrading their game from the $3/$6 tables to the $200/$400 games and later to the $500/$1000 tables on Poker Stars. In one of the most inconsistent games in the world, with huge ups and downs for high stakes players, Dang brothers seem to maintain constant winnings due to a very good money management. Dang brothers have a fearless way of playing and are most successful on heads-up. After winning millions on No Limit Holdem they were forced to start playing Pot Limit Omaha because other Holdem players avoided to go heads-up against everyone of them. In Octomber 2008 Di Dang won the largest ever online poker cash game pot of $723,000 and this year wants to continue in this great manner. This Tuesday Di Dang played over 4,000 hands in a 14 hours Pot Limit Omaha session against Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey and David Benyamine. Dang won the biggest pot of the night, $374,000 worth from Phil Ivey with a straight on the flop against Ivey's top two pair. After hours of playing, winning and losing hands, Di Dang finished the night with a $470,000 profit. Despite their online poker success none of them has live poker playing experience. Both brothers entered live tournaments but as Di recognized in an interview they are still at fish level on live games. They will probably get better and maybe in few years we'll see them winning WSOP bracelets. |
